Shipping policy

1. Processing & Production Time

Orders are printed and prepared for shipment within 1–3 business days after order confirmation.

Business days are Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Production and shipping together take a total of 3–8 business days from the moment of ordering to delivery.

2. Shipping Destinations & Estimated Delivery Time

We currently ship exclusively within Europe.

Europe: 3–8 business days (total delivery time from order to delivery)

Delivery times are estimates and may vary slightly depending on carrier, destination, and peak periods (such as holidays or promotions).

3. Shipping costs & free shipping

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, product size, and weight.
Free shipping is available on orders of €49 or more, where applicable.
Any applicable free shipping promotion will be clearly shown at checkout.

4. Shipping carriers & tracking

We ship using reliable international carriers and local postal services.
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number (where available).
Tracking availability may vary by destination and shipping method.

5. Customs, duties & taxes

For orders within the Netherlands and EU, applicable VAT is included where required by law.
For international orders outside the EU, customs duties, import taxes, or additional fees may be charged by local authorities. These costs are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our prices or shipping fees.
Atelier Maurits is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.

6. Delayed, lost or stolen packages

If tracking shows your order as delivered but you have not received it, please first check with neighbours or your local delivery office.
If a shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will offer a replacement or refund.
Delivery delays caused by carriers, customs, or local postal services are outside our control.

7. Damaged items

Please inspect your order upon arrival.
If your poster or frame arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@ateliermaurits.com, including your order number and clear photos of the damage and packaging.
We will arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Return & Refund Policy.

8. Incorrect address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
If an incorrect address is provided and the order has already shipped, we cannot guarantee a replacement or refund.
If you notice an address error shortly after ordering, contact us immediately — we will do our best to correct it before shipment.

9. Undeliverable or unclaimed packages

If a package is returned to us due to being unclaimed, refused, or undeliverable, additional shipping fees may apply for reshipment.
If you choose a refund instead, original shipping costs may be deducted.

10. Packaging & quality

Posters are carefully packed in protective tubes or reinforced flat packaging to prevent damage during transit.
Framed posters are shipped with reinforced packaging and protective materials to ensure safe delivery.

11. PO boxes & special addresses

We ship to PO boxes where carrier services allow it.
Some framed or oversized items may not be deliverable to PO boxes — in such cases, we will contact you for an alternative address.

12. Express shipping

Express or priority shipping options may be available at checkout for faster delivery.
Production time still applies unless otherwise agreed in advance.
